Recognition Programs

Campuswide

Berkeley Loyal

Berkeley Loyal recognizes the campus’s most steadfast donors. You become Berkeley Loyal when you make gifts in each of the three most recent fiscal years or two of those years if you’re a current Cal parent or student.

Charter Hill Society

The Charter Hill Society recognizes donors contributing $1,000 or more to any school, college, department, or program at UC Berkeley during the fiscal year. Current students and recent alums can become members with reduced levels of annual giving.

Builders of Berkeley

The Builders of Berkeley honors the vision, leadership, and commitment of the University of California, Berkeley’s leading benefactors since its founding in 1868. Donors whose lifetime giving totals $1 million or more are invited to become Builders of Berkeley and have their name etched on the granite monument on the steps of Doe Library.

The Benjamin Ide Wheeler Legacy Society

The Benjamin Ide Wheeler Legacy Society honors those generous individuals who have provided for Berkeley through estate planning, a life income gift, or other planned giving.

Charter Hill Parents Council

Families who give $2,500+ annually to the Cal Parents Fund are recognized as members of the Charter Hill Parents Council. Members of the council receive invitations to special events (on campus and virtual), including the annual Chancellor’s Leadership Breakfast during Parents Weekend at Homecoming, and other recognition for their Bear pride.
